‘Got dirt, got air, got water and I know you can carry on…’ – The Philosophy of: Modest Mouse – The Good Times are Killing Me

If you’ve got water, oxygen to breathe, some shelter to maintain your body temperature, and some sort of food to get nutrients from (or dirt.) you’re good. 

If you’ve got existence, you’ve got what you need (everything else in life is a bonus).

Think of all the people who don’t have it anymore, over the course of history, and you right now, do. And think of all those who don’t and you can assume they wrestled with whether to take risks, do what they want, chase their freedom or dreams, (and even if the ‘worst came to the worst’) what difference does it make now? And that’s not to make you panic and descend into existential dread, it’s free license to do whatever you want to do with the moments of existence you have.
